What is the Abbott World
Marathon Majors?
The Abbott World Marathon Majors (AbbottWMM) is a series comprising eight of the world's premier marathons:
Tokyo, Boston, London, Cape Town, Sydney, Berlin, Chicago, and New York.
In addition to its elite championship series, AWMM is home to one of marathon running's most prestigious achievements—the Six Star Finisher program.
Runners who complete all six Original Marathons—Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, and New York—within the official time limit earn the coveted Six Star Finisher medal.
For runners around the world, it represents the ultimate marathon achievement and a lifelong goal.
